In a recent report, there are an estimated 30.3 million Americans with Diabetes, which is 9.4% of the population.  Of the 30.3 million Americans with Diabetes, there are 23.1 million diagnosed and 7.2 million were not diagnosed. Each year 1.5 million people are diagnosed.  Diabetes remains the 7th leading cause of death in the United States.

 These staggering numbers become even larger when you consider the relationship of diabetes with heart disease.
