Rise Up And Feel Good Each Morning

Do you wake up on the right side or the wrong side of the bed each morning?  Do you wake up excited about the day or are you just putting one foot in front of the other? Are you tired of everyone telling you should be happy or upbeat?  Do the massive amount of tips for feeling good and healthy leave you high and dry? 

There’s an answer to that!  Be yourself, know thyself and accept yourself.  You are a unique and wonderfully made individual with your own path to greatness. This simply means, get to know who you are and what you want to be and do.   Take an overall inventory of yourself and find the magic inside.  Be patient with the process. 

The Wellness Inventory process allows you to explore the many wonders of you as a whole person.  You can take a spin around the wheel of wellness and find a deeper understanding of what works for you and what motivates you to improve.  Improving your overall wellbeing, can help you stay healthy or if you are challenged with a chronic illness, it can help you manage it better.

Each morning get up and consider the following dimensions on the wellness wheel and take one small step each morning on whatever resonates with you.

  • Self- Responsibility & Love- You Matter- practice some self-care and nurture your self. Appreciate who you are and how far you have come.  Think about accomplishments no matter how small.  Promise to do one kind thing for yourself today even if it is simply patting yourself on the back for one good thing you accomplished.  Think of three aspirational words to describe yourself like alive, playful and grateful that are meaningful to you.  Think of yourself in the most positive version of yourself today. What can I do better today than yesterday

  • Breathing It’s About Life- start your morning with some deep breathing.  It can give you more energy and clarity.  Continue the deep breathing through out the day and you may be amazed by the result!

  • Sensing/Eating – You Are What You Eat – eat a healthy breakfast or not but whatever you decide do it with joy and mindfulness that you are making the choice and you are going to enjoy it and appreciate it.  Your thoughts are more important than you think!

  • Feeling/Thinking – Thoughts Are Everything – take 2-3 minutes and make an intention of how you want to feel and what you want to think about today.  Maybe it is just taking one new action towards better health.  Maybe it is accepting yourself and telling yourself how much you Like You! Maybe it is telling someone how grateful you are for them.

  • Communicating – Clarity & Connection- plan to be a better listener today.  Be impeccable with your words and watch what can unfold for you!  As you listen you can be doing some deep breathing and oxygenate  your brain for a wonderful response.

  • Playing & Working & Finding Meaning It’s About You - each morning you have a choice.  You can be excited about your day or you can drag your mind and body unconsciously through the day! Ugh! Or you can look think about a relationship that brings love and connection, or an activity or project that will bring you satisfaction or it could be that you woke up healthy and that is certainly something to be grateful for. 

In the words of Wayne Dyer, “Remind yourself you cannot fail at being yourself”.   Think about the power of those words.  A terrific way to start your day!  Make small steps towards more self-awareness of who you are and what you want.  See your life unfold one step at a time in the direction that you want and that is best for you.  You are creative, resourceful and whole!!!!
